Transport
Donegal International Airport is approximately a ten minute drive. Should you require picking up (and dropping back) there is a taxi service available which can be booked by contacting Glamping Rann na Feirste. We can also arrange personal tours of the local areas and throughout Donegal, if required.
There are a number of national bus companies servicing the area.
Site accessibility
Upon arrival you will park your car in a dedicated parking area. From here access to Glamping Rann na Feirste is a short walk, along a gravel pathway. Please be aware that there is an incline along the path. Low-level bollards are placed to light your way to the huts.
Each of our shepherd huts has an elevated wooden deck, accessible via three steps.
The area surrounding our huts is an undulating, natural meadow which offers a wonderful vista and a natural playground. Please note that the meadow does not have designated pathways, and some areas might have uneven ground. The immediate vicinity around the huts consists of a combination of gravel and lawn.

Local amenities
Shopping
If you’re in need of groceries or other necessities, the nearest shops can be found in Annagry, The Cope supermarket is your one-stop-shop for all your essentials. You will also find a chemist, a hairdresser, and a bookshop to cater for your various needs.
Fuel and Treats
For refuelling and a little treat, you can visit McDevitts petrol station in Annagry or Mace in Crolly. Both stations offer not only fuel but also have small convenience stores and a chance to indulge in enormous ice-creams!
Dining
Danny Minnies Restaurant is known for serving local seafood and meats in a cosy and welcoming atmosphere. Booking is recommended to secure your spot. Time and Tide offer great coffee and homemade bakes and treats, they also serve indulgent toasties. If you prefer a takeaway Tops Pizza serves not only pizza, but fish and chips, burgers and wraps.
Local Pubs
Immerse yourself in the local culture and enjoy the craic and welcome atmosphere of traditional Irish pubs.
Teach Tessie, Meenaleck: A traditional pub known for its warm hospitality and great Guinness.
Leo’s Tavern, Meenaleck: This famous music pub is the home of Clannad and Enya. In addition to great music, Leo’s offers pub grub (booking recommended) and traditional Irish music and dance.
Sharkey’s Bar, Annagry: A perfect place to catch a game, enjoy some sport and spend quality time with the locals.
Paidi Og’s, Crolly: A traditional pub with a pool table for some light entertainment.
Beach Activities
Carrickfinn Watersports offer a range of brilliant water-based activities from surfing lessons, to kayaking trips out to the nearby Owey Island.
Medical Assistance
There is a doctor, dentist, and regional hospital in the nearby town of Dungloe, additionally there is a health centre and NowDoc located in Gweedore. Both towns are approximately 8 miles from Ranafast.
